James Campbell (Born in Cheltenham in 1935) is a British historian with a particular interest in the Medieval period and Anglo-Saxon studies. He is currently a fellow at Worcester College, University of Oxford. He is the editor of ''The Anglo-Saxons'' (1982), a collection of essays on Anglo-Saxon England, for which Campbell wrote the section on period from 350 to 660 AD.
